I discovered that this is to do with drying. The dryer no longer works because the machine needs to be reset. There is a button under the top cover (remove six torx screws - don't forget to unplug the machine!). With the top off, near the centre of the machine there is a black
reset button in between 2 connectors (red and blue).
Press this button (probably get a small click when depressed). The machine may need resetting again in the future, since it may be due to the air duct being atleast partially blocked by excess fluff. If it happens again would recommend removing air duct lid and any excess fluff which may be causing the switch to trip due to overheating.
