Crusader sensacare tumble dryer not working...help!?

I have a 19 year old Crusader Sensacare Tumble dryer which has suddenly stopped working after 19 years of reliable service. The fuse has been checked and is fine but there is just nothing happening at all. I am reluctant to give up on it as it has been so reliable. Can anyone help, please.

remove the plug from mains socket, remove the lid, check the terminal block where the mains comes in,check the door switch, you will need a test meter set on ohms scale,,if this is ok next stop is the timer,if the timer is faulty, then its a new dryer for you, some dryers have a smoothing capacitor near the mains terminal block, its a round or could be a square unit, check that there are no burned out wires on it,the power comes in via the terminal block, through the smooting capacitor, then to the door switch, through this to the timer
