Hi - when we turn dishwasher on - the lights come on as normal, we can select a washing cycle but nothing happens when we press the start button, we've checked the door is shut properly and that it's not on pause - anything else we can check? Thanks

Check the inlet water pressure requirment in the owners manual and see if you have sufficient water pressure.

Water - check the water...

Nothing can happen until there's water in the machine - maybe the water supply is turned off or the pipe kinked - more probably the water inlet valve is defective (easy to replace) - possibly the electronic control is not opening the valve - but most likely the inlet valve.
