The machine don't want to rinse and spin. Take the water in and then wash. Already replaced the V-Belt but still the same problem no rinsing no spinning just a machine full of water. I see a code MER on my washing machine?? My husband also cleaned the filter at the bottom of the machine after replacing the V-Belt. Please help??

From the manual:

The machine will not spin.
If the load is unbalanced the spin cycle will be interrupted and the machine will stop. The unbalanced condition may be corrected by re-filling the tub, rinsing and then draining. If the unbalanced condition remains, the fault code UE will be displayed and a buzzer will sound indicating a problem.

Is the wash load located all to one side?
Has the machine been installed on an uneven floor?
Is the lid open? The fault code LE will be displayed if this is the case.

To which I would add: Is the lid open detection switch or the thing that operates it faulty?
