I have a 6/63 sovereign ride on mower, engine runs fine but as soon as I select the cutting deck it stalls , shakes a bit too, any ideas?

there are safety cut-out switches in the wiring.
check wiring and trace where each one is,
put foot on clutch make sure brakes are on, out of gear, all are designed for your safety.
they also put one under the seat so the blades cannot rotate when no-one is on it.

with all the power off, check the blades and belt , make sure they are turning free, something is jamming the blades or belt turning, so it has to cut out
