My Miele G646 SC fills and empties fine. On switch on, it fills fine, and starts to pump water through the sprayers for a few seconds, sometimes up to a minute, but then it just stops and the inlet/drain light starts flashing. I have cleaned the filter, and the ball non-return valve and the pump spins freely...help!

Possible the impellor in the wash pump is clogged with debris. The machine normally fills to a set level then when the wash pump comes on and sprays the water around the level drops so the inlet valve opens a second time to refill. If your impellor is clogged the water level does not drop enough to bring on the inlet valve for a second time,the diagnostic picks up the fact the valve didn't open again so says inlet fault. if not this it could be motor running slow,bearing problem or motor capacitor faulty cheers
