hi guys. just a quick question regarding on alarm cable. i have just bought cqr 8 core alarm cable (copper clad aluminium) for my external bellbox. the cable distance between the panel and the bellbox is around 25 meters at a guess. the bellbox consumes around 400ma (texecom oddysey 3).

so my will this cable type affect the bellboxes performance due to greater resistance over pure copper?. should i go ahead and connect this up and not worry?. or should i strip it out and buy the cqr pure copper alarm cable.

cqr gave us 6 hundred mtres of the aluminium stuff to
try out for free as we buy lots of their good cable
we did lots of tests and found out its very inferior to pure copper,we let them know this and they thanked us for our evaluation,lots of companys buy this rubbish because its cheaper than pure copper,BIG mistake

your better with the pure copper cable,i have found the other stuff rubbish,if you tighten the screw down on it a little bit tight,it cuts the cable
