Newteam NT 8.5 Electric Shower shows low pressure and slow to start working?

When I turn on the shower, at first it starts, then stops and keeps going in fits and starts and the pipes keep banging untill it slowly works its self in to a proper shower of water and is then ok. Shut it down and it will do the same again.

I have this problem too with our Redring electric shower. It started happening after I washed the entire shower cubicle using the shower to rinse the suds, and I put the temperature up to the maximum, which caused the 'overheat' light to come on. Also there's a chance that when I was rinsing close to the shower that some water may have seeped inside (although I would've thought that an electric shower would be able to cope with this).

Did you ever solve this problem because I am experiencing the same thing.
