Pump will not stop running on my Laundomaid Electrologic 1300?

My laundromaid electrologic 1300. The pump packed up and I replaced it. The new pump starts running even before switching the machine on, and keep on running fulltime. The wires was not mixed up because I did not unplug any other wires. Controller problems? please help!

Sounds like when the pump failed it damaged the triac on the control board which switches the pump on & off.
