Hi I have a Scantronic 9800, I have been ok at fixing most things that have gone wrong replaced battery's, pir`s that fail but know its playing up big time.
1st it gave c7 error which is the panic alarm so I removed the circuit but fault remains. its then started showing rr which I believe is eprom reset, so I left it last night until I had more time.
overnight it went off again but with bf and the battery was over heating and had almost exploded with an acid smell all around the house.
I have removed battery.

My question is do you think I should bother trying to repair or just replace panel
if replace any one know of one about the same size and one i can reuse all the wiring to save having to pull up floor boards etc..

No reason to replace the panel.

there are a few scantronic 9800's floating around on ebay just now. head over there but be quick before someone else gets them.

DO NOT replace this panel with todays cheap rubbish. the 9800 is one of the best. a direct replacement is you're best bet. good luck
