I don't know specifically about your apopliance but some general advice about freezers/fridges with ice buildup:
I wonder wherther there is a condensation drain that is blocked. Nothing in the manual ( I suppose you checked that). If you can' have a look at the back of the fridge/freezer and see if there is a tray on top of the compressor. That is where condensation from inside the freeser ends up to be evaportated away with the waste heat from the compressor.
fo rth econdensaiton to get there, there is usually a pipe leading from above the tray going inside the freezer/fridge. If this pipe is blocked with crud, mould or whatever, there will be a buildup of condensation insde the fridge/freezer that will freeze.
If your appliance does have such a drain, you may be able to clear it. I find that th eold fashioned plastic covered stretchy stpring net curtain rod works really well. Failing that you may be able to contrive something that will do the job or even a syringe full of water (maybe with a bit of bleach) and some tube that adapts the nozzle to fit the end of the drain pipe.
Take care, stop, look and think through from first principles how what you are looking at works and what effect what you are doing may have.
