windscreen wipers not working on daf 45 150 euro ?

My windscreen wiper are hardly moving and only in a short 20cm distance and it seems to be on an intermitant setting and am not able to stop them unless i turn of the ignition. Any ideas

could be wiper control unit behind n/s dash fascia.when you have located it you will find it has a male and female connection on it, unplug both and plug them together.only diffrence now will be no intermittent wipe but will do 1 sweep when switched down.
