how to remove pen stuck in sears canister vacuum hose?

I have a sears Kenmore 116.27514 canister vacuum. I vacuumed up a ball point pen and it is stuck in the hose. how can I get it out? tk u--

i got it out. I pushed the pen down with my plumbing thingie and shook the hose till it fell out of the straighter end.
