my whirlpool ceran hob?

my hob switched off and wouldnt work it had thrown the trip,
when we switched the power back on it was locked ,so unlocked and put a ring on and it went bang, is now showing error F 4 7 on the right hand side . How can I clear this.

the heating element of that ring has gone , so you need a new one , that error will stay there till you fix that element.
