How do I fix my Dyson 7?

Help, for some reason my dyson cylinder vacuum appears to be sucking in air from a vent at the top of the cleaner and making a lot of noisy. I do not think it has full suction and the filter at the top is getting full very clogged up. I would really apprepriate any suggestions on this.

this is symptomatic of a blockage and the noise is probably coming from the valve which diverts the air if it cannot escape.it is a safety to alow air to continue to flow over the motor which is air cooled. if you have cleaned the filter iwould think you have a blockage in the tools hose,
