i switched off and disconnected my CANNON CHESTER cooker to clean it ,put it back in and now the main oven is not feeding gas the rest of the cooker is fine, could it be that the timer needs to be reset and if so how do i do it.

I have a similar problem and the manual has been of no use! After a power cut we have been unable to reset the clock so the main oven no longer works. It seems like something has blown but the manual and other internet searches have failed to give us any clues.
