Start button not working power to machine fine.. how do i fix it

Make/model ? On some Hotpoint / Indesit machines the start button breaks off inside (looks ok from outside). On others, the machines light up but will not start (Hotpoint WMD960/WT960/BWD129 range). Why not call us for telephone help ? Tony www.emwelec.co.uk 01159652118

It may well be that the start button is working fine and that it's the machine that's not working - the first thing to happen is that water enters the machine - washing will not begin without water.

Look to the water inlet solenoid valve - or have someone do it for you
