i have a brooks 180 stairlift and it wont work as it has a fault code on the display of two lines one across the top and one across the bottom but its not shown in the fault code book

Lift is searching for datum point . (usually after power cut or main battery replacement )Lift has to be at top just before charge point . Switch to datum search and run on to charge point then back off , then back all the way to overun switch and back onto charge . This should rest datum .
