The tree most probable causes are the switch for the light is set to be always off, a burnt light and a faulty switch.
Often, the interior light have a 3 positions switch: Always off, on when a door is open and always on. If your switch have 3 positions, place it in the middle position.
The light may be burned. Pop out the light's cover and remove the bulb. Replace it by one of the same model.
The door switch may be defective or brocken.
It may preferable to ask a mechanic to replace it. The switch itself should cost very little, probably under 5$.
It's the mechanic's time that cost the most by far.
