It looks like the inner glass is only glued in position. It ha separated on one side. Do I have to but a new door?

Tom - I don't know - my limited experience with glue is that heat tends to loosen glue - I guess that's what happened to your oven door. I also guess that you have some parts missing that secure the inner glass - there's usually an air gap - on my oven there's 30 mm from front to back on the glass - I would guess the gap to be 20 mm.

If it were mine I'd try to identify the missing parts and buy spare parts. If you wish to glue then search for high temperature adhesive - consider a two part epoxy maybe.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
I've now removed the door assembly from the oven to allow me to see better. The inner glass has definitely been glued, so this may be the work of the previous owner!
I believe that I can glue it back with little trouble, the only question is what type of glue given the heat it is subjected to.

This is a Bush built in single oven...

The general case is that - doors can very easily be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

The general case is that oven doors have an inner glass and an outer glass - a safety feature.

The general case is that the outer glass is fixed and the inner glass can be removed for cleaning if necessary.

The general case is that the glass doors of ovens are not glued in place - they would be difficult to remove for cleaning if they were glued in.

You will probably not have to buy a new door.
