Hoover condenser HDC 7 fm - starting problems?

How do i fix a problem with this model. It makes a funny noise when start button is pressed, but this usually goes after holding start button for anything up to a minute or so. Machine then runs normally.

I had the same problem. I replaced the switch but it still doesnt work. I am trying a new relay/PCR next. Will post here if it works.
