Replacement battery for Sharp UP 810F?

Is it possible to change the back up battery in this older model. The display is showing 'RAM Error' and I understand that this could be because the battery is low/dead.

On the rhs of the register there are ports for a multi plug connector, an SD card and reset button. However, I can't find where the battery is located. Help!!

You have all the same information in front of you that I have. Part 63 is the backup battery. the diagram shows where it is located and will give an idea how to get to it.

If you need more help, may one suggest a dedicated forum. You may actually have to search for yourself to find one.

Thanks for really helpful pointers. Can I just check that the batteries are located where the reset button is?
With thanks.

Isn't the internet an amazing tool? I spent, what, 2 - 3 minutes doing a quick search! I found this spares list and diagrams for the 810 series till:

The backup battery looks like its a small 3-cell stack of NiMh redhargables.
Unless you can get an official part, it is possible any electronic component supplier will be able to provide something electrically compatible but you may need to take the connecting cable off theold one, attach it to the new battery and insulate before installing.

DO make sure you get the leads the right way round!

How come you couldn't have done that?, January 2016
