Thank you so much, I did what you advised, no moisture but it look like a little rust was holding the polystyrene off the the deck.Clean it and now everything is working fine. As a pensioner I really thank you for your advise.
Once again many thanks for your advise.

Ok if pump is running then it definitely sounds like the flood switch problem. Turn the power off at the wall. You need to remove the front lower kick panel. It has a hidden screw with a phillips head on each side of the panel -access from below the panel. Use either a short phillips screwdriver or tip the machine back far enough to get a longer screwdriver up there. Once that panel is off, then remove the next panel which just slides up & out. Then there should be a piece of foam rubber. Take that out. Inside the opening at front you will see drain pump, behind that and to the right is a polystyrene float & the switch. Check for water. If water in there dry it out. If no water & all dry check that polystyrene is right down on the tray. Make sure power is off before putting hand in there. Some of those wires are live even when it is not actually running.

Yes the pump is running, I tip the machine backwards as you suggested but no water was visible. I switched back on but still the fault.

Is there any other noise like a pump running? If there is it may be that water has leaked in to the base tray & activated the flood switch. Try pulling it out from under the bench and tip it backward. See if any water comes out of the floor tray. If it does then once water is out the dishwasher should work again.

Yes as soon as I connect the power. All the button are dead. All the lights were working last time we use the appliance.

Need more details. When it is powered on at wall does it start beeping straight away? Can you do anything. like what happens if you press a button? Are all the lights definitely working?
