fuse keeps on blowing on ringmaster 110 what could be the cause?

My Rangemaster 110 cooker keeps on blowing 3amp fuse. What could be the problem.the display is not illuminated.Could it be the clock, as this does not light up at all when new fuse is used.

I think you need to work out exactly which cooker you have. See the range here:
http://www.rangemaster.co.uk/products/range-cookers/classic/classic-110-dual-fuel

Looking at THIS dual fuel version suggests you need a 230V supply capable of delivering 7.2kW, which is way more than 3A and would require a proper cooker supply, let alone a 13A outlet

Looking at THIS one still suggests you need a 230V supply capable of delivering 2.6kW, which is still way more than a 3A fuse will allow but within the bounds for a 13A plug, when fitted with a 13A fuse - not a 3A one.

May one politely suggest you get someone to check your installation - someone who knows what they are doing?

the fuse is in the mains plug by the way

bob, January 2016
the fuse blows instantly and this seems to be dual fuel cooker in that hobs and ovens are gas and there is electric hotplate.

this is rangmaster 110

BOB, January 2016
Is it a Rangemaster 110 or a Ringmaster 110? Two different cookers. Rangemanster is dual fuel, Ringmaster is (I think) gas.

Which is it?

Yes it could be the clock

You do not say what circuits the 3 Amp fuse supplies - or if they're selected on or not and neither do you say if the fuse lasts for some period or if it blows instantly. You do not say if your cooker is dual fuel or just gas.

Cooker hoods (extractors) usually have a 3 Amp fuse.
