Side lights staying on in a Renault Clio 2007 when engine is off?

I have disconnected the battery to stop the light staying on as it's running down the battery.

had similar on a ford escort,turned out to be water in fuse box shorting electrics out!

Either the switch that controls the side lights will be stuck in the on position or a relay that controls them will be stuck on.

You might consider reattaching the battery to get the lights on and pulling relays in turn until they go off.
