My bike does the same but the clicking comes from the starter
When ever I press the start button does this mean it's the relay it self gone bad.

You clearly have a weak battery.

You can bump-start by running the bike forward in 2nd gear and with the ignition on and the clutch pulled in - let the clutch out and when the engine fires quickly pull in the clutch - go for a ride - charge up the battery - see how it goes for a few days.
