WF340P Hotpoint?

Hotpoint washing machine set level regularly goes for walks up to 18/20inches out from under the worktop in utility room.

It happens on full, medium and small loads, I caught it attempting to
'Vibrate walk into the kitchen with only a small load.
Is it possible to be caused by broken ballast weight spring which happens on my daughters same machine. There is supposed to be a wash balance system that rebalances the wash. The instruction say if it doesn't work at end of cycle open redistribute washing the response. That to me defeats calling an automatic washing machine as it requires 'human ' intervention.
Thanks to responders.

YES

Your daughter will be able to tell you how to get it repaired.

Automatic is generally not a claim made by manufacturers of washing machines - however - it does suggest no intervention by the operator. Perhaps you have a case for asking for your money back - did they make the claim of automatic?
