dishwasher pump is running continuously even with the door open?

We have a non-branded dishwasher (understand on a Bosch basis) and the dishwasher pump is running continuously even with the door open. I suspect that as I can find no leaks, there is a problem with the float that monitors the water in the tub, probably that is has got debris or limescaled up. My problem is I don't have the tools or see a way to get to the pump and have a look. Can anyone out there help?

I have this problem. You will prob find the machine is both filling and emptying at the same time. My investigations suggest the problem is the water flow meter/sensor. On my Bosch sgs43e02gb/45 this is in the bottom rear and in the centre so impossible access without a serious dismantling of the machine - I'm contemplating this as I type. The replacement part is on Ebay for about £15
