how do I remove the centre consol in my 1999 HONDA civic 1400cc?

The heater speed switch has failed on the first two speeds, I need to remove the centre console to gain access to the switch to find out the oroblemm.

Suggest getting a Haynes Manual - shows you how to do it.
Heater switch is the same on BOTH my Honda Civics - and an old Rover 414 (same car, Rover version.)
Must be a very bad design switch!
