How do i release stuck setting knob on 55 auto leisure gas cooker?

The minus setting knob on my 55 leisure auto cooker is stuck and therefore unable to get my oven working manually. It is currently stuck on auto which I never use just need manual.
Would be most grateful for ideas or help on how to release knob.
Many thanks.
Pauline.

Just set the time - the cooker doesn't care what time you set - it has no idea what the time is.

Switch off the electricity - switch it on again so that the clock flashes then...

Push in and hold buttons 2&3 from the left and use the Plus button to set the time - any time will do. Then cook...

From online photos f that cooker, the timer looks like a normal 5-button timer. The buttons should pull out - maybe with a bit of a twist. Be careful to pull dead straight and not to tip the head.

ONce the button is out, clean off the congealed cooking crud from the shaft - i have often used a bit of kitchen towel sprayed with WD40 fo rthe shaft and WD40 on a cotton bud or a cocktail stick to clear out the hole (Be careful you just clean - don't push stuff in).

Go slowly and carefully
