my boiler over flow keeps dripping un till the low pressure light comes on and it cuts the boiler out . if i repressure the sistem it lights and runs well for short time . would this be the safty valve

When the boiler is cold set the pressure to 1 bar,fire boiler and let it get up to temperature, if the pressure reaches 3 bar the expansion vessel either needs recharging or replacing if it rises to 1.5-2 bar but the valve is dripping the valve needs changing

prv (pressure relief valve), first u need to find out what caused it to open. Was it due to overfilling the boiler with to much water, leaving the filling valve open or a fault on the boiler. If its a fault on the boiler u will need to rectify this first before replacing the valve otherwise it will just open again causing it to leak.
