Do i need to have my fault code reset before i add Cataclean?

I have a Citroen C5 1.6 HDI and a fault 'Depollution System Fault' has come on the dash and gone into limp mode. I have read lots of comments on here but before i add the Cataclean do i need to get the fault code error removed first?

It will do no harm deleting the fault,if your repair isn`t successful it will just reappear,good luck.
