I am looking to buy a Petrol Hedge Trimmer. I have a petrol lawn mower, but don't know much about them. Looking online I can only see 2-stroke hedge trimmers.

So newby question, can you only buy 2-stroke hedge trimmers? Do any have normal petrol engines?

you wont get one, any machine that you use upside down will all be 2 stroke, like chain saws strimmers hedge trimmers. as the oil must mix with the petrol to get around to the working parts at different angles, There is no problems with 2 stroke, you just mix the little bottle of mix into a can of petrol and shake it up , and then pour it into the tank of your strimmer, i have used them in parks for years,
