My fan oven element has started glowing red. (The previous element failed just after glowing red, so replaced and noticed the new one is the same).
The fan is working ok.
The temperature is correct (tested with separate internal thermometer).
Only problem i can see is the cross flow fan isn't running,
Could this be the cause?

For the first 2 years i hadn't noticed it glowing, only recently, so thought it was a fault, especially as the element blew soon after (split)

No, that fan has nothing to do with it. The element is supposed to glow red. It will be fine as long as the fan is working and the thermostat is regulating temperature okay.
