my Frigidaire FRE2422A has defrosted all my food and makes a funny noise when it shuts down, however the lights stays on inside so I didn't know it wasn't working. Only when I opened the freezer did I realise everything had defrosted. Fridge doesn't work either I repeatedly heard a noise of something starting up and stopped with a splutter 30 seconds to 1 minute later.

When I plug it in it whurs up then a click and I hear it keeps click every so often similar to the noise I hear an iron makes when heating up? It has worked solidly since I bought it from new no problems, please Help
