fdf784 hotpoint aquarius dishwasher gradually fills in the bottom with clean water.m then I hear the pump draining it away. I switched the machine off and it still filled with water. Is it some kind of shit off valve problem? The problem is, I'm a girl trying to fix it, as my hubby is too busy, apparently.

There are two pumps - one for draining and another to squirt the water all over the crockery - I suspect - but am only guessing - that the shut-off valve is working fine but the circulating pump is not.

I forgive you the typographical error - an easy istake.
