Can my bamix stick blender be repaired?

My blender slid fully into a bowl of washing up water and was fully submerged for about 10 mins, whilst still plugged in. Water did get into it, and I've drained some out. I haven't taken it apart at all, as I have no idea what to do, and as it was expensive and I use it so often, I am really hoping something can be done.

It will need to be completely dried out - leave it in a warm place for several years or dismantle it to dry it - a hairdryer will help.

There is no guarantee that either approach will be successful so you should resign yourself to having to buy a replacement.

But you never know - it might suddenly burst into life a a week or two.
