all you do is turn it to the spin and empty cycle ,it will empty then turn off then you restart the programme

I think the general case is that you can't reset a washing machine - not a front-loading one.

Imagine a machine full of water - and you reset it - what happens to the water?

I think they're expected to run to the end and drain.

Of the washing machines in my experience - as an owner - I do not recall ever seeing a reset function in their manuals.
