Two wires, one blk, one red are loose?

There's two wires loose on an old Snapper. Mod#28106S - Briggs & Stratton engine Mod#255707 - rescued from a barn. It's got a pull starter and an electric starter. One's red - the one that's black comes from the 'run' connection on the key switch. According to the schematic I found both are shown hooked to the magneto. There's a white wire going the the magneto that's hooked to the stop switch next to the throttle lever and both red and black wires will reach that point. Is that where they go?
