Locked hob on Diplomat Schott Ceran hobb?

I've tried all online suggestions, ie pressing Front right and '-' at same time, but no luck, then turning off at mains and retrying, no luck - just after several seconds an 'err' and 'r' messages. Then back to 'L'. Help please!
