Hi I have just picked up a van from a breakers was stolen recovered come with the keys but had been hot wired!! Have changed the barrel and wires but no ignition lights at all! Tried another Bsi just to see if lights come on and still nothing
It is highly unlikely just plugging in new control modules on modern motors will work without having security codes and correct computers available to do this sort of work.

When you switch on the ignition in a car a series of relays operate to make the various circuits live - perhaps you should look to the relays? A Haynes manual would be a good idea...
