MercedesML 320 Missfire when cold?

my ML 320 petrol,if i start up from cold and drive off it only will just propell itself,so on starting i have to leave it tickover for some minutes then drive off but there is and intermittant missfire,the car isa 2002 with 35.ooo miles on the colck.

I had same problem - it is a defective air mass meter. Cost to replace £300 incl labour.

needs new plugs,leads and coils then will need tuning at a Mercedes garage.this could turn out quite expensive though.the other alternative is to sell it and buy a deisel.
BUT DON,T TELL ANYONE ABOUT THE MISFIRE.
