I have a sterling 10 alarm system that has been working up untill this morning it was installed in 2006.When i put in my code the alarm activates and on the pannel it shows sterling tamper.I have checked all the pirs,bell boxes,etc to no avail.I cant understand why this has happened i need a solution to resolve this problem,many thanks.

replace the standby battery inside the panel be aware there is mains voltage present

megger it with 2kv that should solve your problem, then consider fitting a proper alarm like scantronic.
