iveco 2002 tdi timing?

when i took the covers off the timing belt found that the bolt was missing from the center of the tensoner will cranking the engine using a strong arm against the chassie to to crack the crankshaft nut do any harm as the tensoner has movement in it.

Would lock the engine with a lever onto the flywheel ring gear,if that means removing the starter then so be it.
