Ford Fiesta 2003. The clutch wasn't working?

Hi my aunts car wouldn't go nowhere the other day. We found out today that the clutch cable had come lose and the clip had gone that holds it in place. The cable had been reconnected but need something to hold it on. We was told that clutch cable
would come undone again so a clip is needed Advice pls

If you had bothered to do a Google search for yourself, you'd have seen this is a well-known problem.

This happened on my 2003 Fiesta - there was no clutch cable.

The lever arm of the clutch pedal presses against the clutch's hydraulic pump - if the clip falls off - as mine did - the clutch pedal becomes limp.

I fixed mine with a cable tie - it helped access to remove some cosmetic panels - just a couple of screws - 10 minutes work.

Good Luck..., November 2016
