dishes not drying?

dishes are not drying, grease is remaining on items and cold.

Oddly enough, I had exactly tge same question from my daughter, regarding her AEG Favorit dishwasher.

A quick Google search found me a video on Youtube from soneone who had diagnosed the problem - a simple poorly soldered joint on the circuit board conveniently in the door.

The same search also gave me a number of other people finding the same common fault.

At risk of attracting the ire of people who think one should not expect you to try and help yourself, I would endorse the advice of the first contributor.

My analysis is that water is being sloshed around but the heating element has failed - hot water and detergent removes the grease - and the steam from hot water does the drying.

Your dishes are coming out cold - heater defective.

Your options are to repair it yourself or call in a specialist to do it for you.

When you call be sure to say the make & model - it may be useful for them to know.

Gloria. So, as well as dishes not drying, you are telling us that the machine is not actually washing the dishes in the first place.

The one thing you don't tell us is the make and model of the machine.

May one suggest your first port of call is to do a Google search for " 'Make' 'Model' not drying " and maybe " 'Make' 'Model' not heating" and see if other people have had similar problems and, if so, how they have solved it.

If that fails, come back and post here with full information.
