how can i repair this heater?

i have a creda automatic and when I lifted off the cover the solder melted off between the two posts so I took another piece of solder relatively the same size turned the breaker back on the turned on for about thirty seconds and saw a spark and it burnt that piece of solder also to break the contact any ideas?

you can buy the correct thermal fuse from Maplin it needs to be 165 degrees and looks a bit like a resistor.you should also test the elements to make sure there isn't a short
