I have a 7+ year old Kitchenaid Superba 17 cycle washing machine with a balking controller. Sometimes it goes through the cycle without problem and sometimes it stops and I have to advance it by hand.

Any thoughts as to how difficult it is to replace the controller? It is worth having a service come in to do it when the unit is at least 7 years old if not closer to 10?
