elec windows?

we have a 52 reg scenic that we love but the drivers door electric window seem to have got a mind of it's own can anyone help??
Mike alexander, December 2016
ok i take it the window does not work as intended, if it comes down on its own or only comes down in stages and refuses to close when you press the window button, all this points to moisture in the control module. you need to take off the door card and locate the module. open it and dry with a hair dryer or something, if the connectors are green get some fine sandpaper and clean them up. then spray with wd40 to force out any remaining moisture then fasten back up. i would then smear vasaline around the connector and wires to stop water entering in the future. did all this on my megane mk2 and never had the problem again

If its anything like the Megane, it could well be the control module, attached to the window motor.

There is a secret tool that only a special elite are allowed to use to address problems like this.

A mind of its own is not very helpful...

What does it do that it should not do?
What does it not do that it should do?
Does it behave this way all of the time or just now and again?
Did anything significant happen just before the fault appeared?

Good Luck..., December 2016
