Renault Laguna Start-Stop Switch not secure in console?

I'd appreciate knowing how to secure the Start-Stop switch in a 2008 Laguna Mk3 (Boomerang headlights which some call Mk4). The car is fully functional but the switch is not flush with the console, only partly secured. I'm afraid any push would damage further whatever the mountings are and possibly electrics inside console.

Is there any way and purpose in getting behind the switch and pushing it flush against the console fascia? If the switch mountings are part of the console fascia I was considering seeing if a vacuum hose could suck the switch back onto all the mountings.

Many thanks to anyone that can help.
